English in the technical context: bathroom fittings
When things get a little technical, it can help to remember three stages: 1. Can I describe it? What are the names of all the parts and how do they relate to each other? Here, you will find yourself collecting new vocabulary, principally in the form of nouns and adjectives. 2. Can I give instructions to use or repair it? Giving instructions involves a series of actions (verbs in their simple form) related to the various parts you've already learned the names of. 3. Can I explain how it works? This is more complicated, as it means understanding how things work. You'll find yourself needing a lot more verbs and, most likely, some other additional vocabulary, in addition to the words that you've already learnt.

THG Paris. English course. PROMEO/BAILEY

Please describe step-by-step, the order process for a set of luxury bathroom faucets for a new hotel project, starting with the customer requirements, design specifications, warranty considerations, lead time calculation, right through to the delivery and fitting.

Try doing this yourself by first making a list of the various steps, then for each step describe the actions involved, and who does them.

Then look at the worksheet example (fichier de l’exercice)  for this lesson and see where you agree and where you disagree with it concerning your own order process at THG Paris.
