This part of the course focuses on workplace harassment, the employer’s duty of care, and the role of HR in handling investigations. Using real case law and practical workplace situations, learners explore how toxic behaviour can affect working conditions, health, and professional life, and how HR should respond through a fair, structured, and confidential investigation process.
This mini-course also develops the English vocabulary needed to describe complaints, evidence, findings, and possible legal consequences in a professional context.

Managerial Moral Harassment
This article and quiz examine how French case law defines "harcèlement moral" through repeated management practices that degrade working conditions, even when the employee is not personally targeted by every behaviour. Based on the Court of Cassation’s 10 December 2025 judgment, the material highlights excessive pressure, humiliation, unrealistic targets, and other toxic management methods, as well as the employer’s duty of care, the importance of internal investigation reports, and the legal consequences that may follow, including damages and, in some cases, nullity of dismissal.
