This course is designed for HR professionals who want to strengthen their confidence and precision in English when dealing with disability, neurodiversity, workplace adjustments, and related HR situations. Through scenario-based multiple-choice questions, learners will practise the vocabulary and expressions needed to respond appropriately in meetings, discussions, and day-to-day HR decision-making in a UK corporate context.

This video explains key points from the UK Equality Act on disability and age discrimination. It highlights the employer’s duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled workers and gives examples such as BSL interpreters, accessible written minutes, buddy schemes, flexible working, and workplace adaptations. It also explains that age discrimination is unlawful in relation to employees, job seekers, trainees, and other workers, while noting that some age-related exceptions still apply where justified by other legislation.

Scenario-based quiz: Disability & neurodiversity in the workplace
This is a 20-question, scenario-based multiple-choice quiz at B2+/C1+ level, designed for HR managers and HR business partners. Each question presents a realistic workplace situation involving disability, neurodiversity (including ADHD), mental health, or related issues, and asks the learner to choose the most appropriate HR response in English.
