As the seasons wax and wane, and the sun rises and sets, there’s a constant shifting of every element of the garden.
No two days are ever the same, and plants emerge from the earth like old friends coming back to visit.
Wildlife is everywhere, and on every scale, from the majestic buzzards wheeling in the sky far above,
to the tiniest pollen-chewing bugs congregating around the corollas of the early summer flowers.
The miracle of biomass never ceases to amaze…
Literally tons of fresh, lush plant material surging out of the soil, building new levels of vegetation that bring intrigue into every corner:
concealing, defining, and revealing the various spaces of the woods, the ponds, the lawns, the flower beds, the meadows, the vines…
Light in all its shades and tones, filtering through the branches and leaves, illuminates each area from gradually changing angles at every moment.
The garden is a wondrous source of moods and sensations that are constantly changing.
I hope to have captured just some of them here for our shared pleasure…
